The Bachelor's program in Business Education (Business Education I) (B.Sc.) at the LMU Munich School of Management offers a sound education in business education that is based on both scientific and practice-oriented approaches. In the basic studies, the main focus is on business education and business administration aspects. For business education, these are questions about the structures and conditions of vocational training, teaching, learning and development (including subject didactics) as well as vocational training policy and training markets. The general business fundamentals such as external and internal accounting, marketing management, investment and financing, business informatics as well as organization and strategy are supplemented by modules from mathematics, statistics, economics, econometrics and law. In the advanced study program, students must choose one of eight specializations: Accounting & Controlling, Business Taxation, Digital Business, Finance, Risk Management & Insurance, Marketing, Management & Innovation, Leadership, Human Resources & International Management, and Strategic Management: Technology and Strategy. From a broad range of electives, students can choose further subjects in business administration or related disciplines (economics, statistics, law, psychology, communication studies). In addition, aspects from the cross-sectional areas of the faculty: Digital Transformation and Legitimacy & Responsibility, are offered. The collaboration with real start-ups in the Business Modelling module is worthy of special mention. The aim is to collaboratively develop innovative solutions to overcome practical challenges. To support scientific work, research methods are taught in the context of the main seminar, in which small studies are conducted hands-on. This structure with an explicitly business-related subject profile allows students to deepen their personal interests and to prepare specifically for individual career goals in educational institutions and business, or to continue their studies by moving directly into a consecutive master's program.
